From 1999 she studied in Amsterdam and Brussels where she in 2004 graduated from the performing arts school P.A.R.T.S. Mette Ingvartsen Moving in Concert. After the Red Pieces series which probed deep into the question of sexuality, Mette Ingvartsen once again sets in motion a physical laboratory. In the expanding universe which unfurls, bodies, matter, movements and sounds interact, in a way which makes us think about the contemporary individual’s fundamentally “connected” status.

Questions of kinesthesia, perception, affect, and sensation have been crucial to most of her work, which includes several site-specific propositions that have been seen around the world.
